';Cuticle preparation was performed as descibed (Wieschaus and N眉sslein-Volhard 1986). In brief, the embryos were collected and dechorionated as described above and fixed in glycerol:acetic acid (1:1) at 60掳C for 1 hour. The cuticles were visualized after incubation in Hoyers:lactate overnight at 60掳C.';
