When you bite your nails, what causes those little sores around the cuticle?

First of all the condition is called onycaphege The spelling may be off its is a disorder. all it means is bitten nails. However. What you need to do is when you are in the tub or right after washing dishes is take you r thumb and push back you cuticles. if they will not stay back then you trim only the part that is white and will not stay back. if you do not push your cuticles back they will grow over your nails and cause your cuticle areas to look shiny and tight. the tightness will cause them to crack and cause sores where your cuticle tares. Get a manicure once a month you and your daughter ads a treat it is not that expensive have a girls day on Sat for two mini- manicures it is great. When you bite your nails, what causes those little sores around the cuticle?
Probably the stress of wounding yourself causes them. The body does funny things. Since the nail is growing out of your cuticle....*shrug*When you bite your nails, what causes those little sores around the cuticle?
