keep it clean, apply Neosporin, give it time
First you need to get a half of cup of warm water. After you fill the cup to the halfway mark (with water) you need to then put peroxide in with the water till it fills the cup almost to the top. Soak your finger in the peroxide/water solution for six minutes. After you soak, drip dry (don't wipe it off with a towel) your finger for a minute, then use a clean towel to gently dry it off. Then put Neosporn on your finger and cover with a new un-used band-aide. The redness should go away after two days of doing this, and then the swelling will decrease after.

Good Luck! Hope you have a healed cuticle soon!
A simple brown bottle of hydrogen peroxide available in any grocery or drug store. Maybe you already have some in your home.
Fill a small bowl with warm water and pour in some epsom salts; stir it until the salt is pretty much dissolved and soak your finger for at least 20 minutes or more, depending on how much time you have. This should take care of it without another soak, but if it's still swollen, it may take another try.
