What would happen if the cuticle and epidermis of a plant weren't transparent?

anybody have an answer? What would happen if the cuticle and epidermis of a plant weren't transparent?
Then no light would reach the chloroplasts and no photosynthesis would occur. Poor plant! What would happen if the cuticle and epidermis of a plant weren't transparent?
since cutical of the plant is for transpiration and the epidermis is for the basic growth of the plant(the cells divide and so the width and height)

if these things were opaque than the light (whight light) would not reach to the plant and the process of photosynthesis would stop.so the plant will be dead.this was the reason for cutical and i shud cofess i don't hav any idea for epidermis.the same reason can be applied on both of them by the way.
