How to prevent cuticle skin from peeling off?

My cuticle skin from the fingers peels or rather 'shreds' and then it hurts a lot whenever something touches or rubs against them. Till now I have been clipping it off using a nailcutter but that didn't help much....How to prevent cuticle skin from peeling off?
Don't cut it off. That could infect your skin. Instead, you should push back your cuticles with a cuticle stick or something soft like a washcloth. This is what they do in manicures. As for your cuticles, I've got that problem too. When it happens, I put a Band-Aid on, to keep from hurting it. Also keep your hands and nails well-moisturized. I use Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. How to prevent cuticle skin from peeling off?
Rub Vitamin E oil on your cuticles
The exfoliation of the cuticle is a natural process that happens over 28 days...whether you like it or not. You should not cut, clip, or even push back the cuticle. Regular use of lotion after you wash your hands will help. Keeping your hands out of water when it's not required is of utmost importance.

Good Luck!

always use lotion, and use some cuticle oil twice a week. after a couple week everything should be better.
